WELCOME TO THE STAMPIN' ADDICTS SUMMER MINI BLOG TOUR!

Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope you have been enjoying the Stampin' Addicts Summer Mini Blog hop so far.  Stampin' Addicts is a wonderful, positive community dedicated to Stampin' Up! demonstrators and customers alike, who share a love of all things Stampin' Up!  It's free to join, and you couldn't meet a nicer group of stampers, so please come and check us out - after you finish the tour, of course!

If you have been following the links, you just left the Creative Stampin' Spot.  Didn't Barbara do a fab job with the new Square Lattice embossing folder?!  Love, love, love the tote and flower card above it, especially!  I like that embossing folder so much, that I just had to use it on the Mother's Day card I made for my mom, even though I'm showcasing the Itty Bitty Bits stamp set, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack trio, and the Bitty Buttons.  (Sorry, Barbara, I couldn't help myself!)
Mom's Lilac card was made with the four petal punch using Lovely Lilac and Lavender Lace (colors that will be retiring the end of June). I stamped a few of the blossoms in Whisper White Craft ink with the four petal stamp to make them stand out a bit more, and "popped" some of them up. The leaves were a lot of fun to make - I'll show you how to make them later in the week.
The next card uses two NEW colors, or should I say, one new and one returning old favorite. The lighter blue background is new, called Marina Mist, and will be available in the new big catalog in July.  The darker blue is a returning favorite, called Pacific Point.  The flowers are from the Two-Step stamp set called Greenhouse Garden.  And see those buttons?  Those are the Bitty Buttons, which started out clear.  Check back next week and I'll tell you how I turned them into gold!
The last card is a pretty little baby girl card.  I made the patterned paper using the Itty Bitty Bits stamp set, stamped in Pretty in Pink ink, then selectively punched out some of the shapes and adhered them with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The circle punch from that punch set is just 3/8" in diameter!

I really hope you enjoyed your stop here.  As a thank you, I have some blog candy to give away. It's the Sale-A-Bration "Whimsical Words" stamp set in the clear mount option.  Just post a comment here, and I will select a winner on Tuesday.

Your next stop on the tour will be Holly's blog, Rubber Redneck.  She's going to dazzle you with the gorgeous, vintage-looking Elements of Style stamp set!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Teaser

I've been very busy in my "happy place" this week, making all sorts of delightful (well, to me, anyway) things.  Here's a little teaser that I made for my son-in-law's birthday, using a few things from the new Summer Mini catalog that starts May 1st.  Notice anything new???
Check out the new Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder!  And see the itty bitty heart stamped under the teeny tiny button?  That's from the new 9 piece stamp set called Itty Bitty Bits, which coordinates with the new Itty Bitty Shapes (3 pc.) Punch Pack and clear Bitty Buttons!  They are SO cute and SO tiny, and they will be what I am featuring on the Stampin' Addicts Summer Mini Blog Tour a week from today.  Y'all gotta come back and see the fabulousness!!!
Here's an idea of how big they really are (the circle punch is 3/8" diameter).  Each square on the SU Cutting Mat is 1/2".  Wouldn't these just be adorable on a baby card?  Oops! Shhhhhhh!  I'm givin' secrets away!!!
Oh, sorry for my mind wandering.  Here's the "inside" of the card for my SIL.  He and my daughter love to eat at Souplantation, so the gift card will be put to very good use!  Under the gift card I stamped the sentiment.

Yipppeeeeee!

I have a whole week off before the next phase of my job starts, so I'm going to be hunkered down in my stamp cave, being as creative as I possibly can be this week.  My husband will be lucky if I come out long enough to throw some food in his direction for suppers this week, hee hee hee!!!  One of the things I'll be working on, is my projects for the Stampin' Addicts Summer Mini Blog Tour:
Yep, we're getting ready to showcase the fabulous new goodies coming in the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog, so be sure to check back here on April 30th and join the hop!  Prepare to be amazed!!!

Easter and Earthquakes

Easter and Earthquakes - not something you'd usually think about together, even though April is Earthquake Awareness Month. Unless you happened to live in the Southwest part of the U.S. today.  Holy carp!  The 7.2 magnitude SSE of Mexicali certainly caught my attention, as have the five or six aftershocks I've felt so far. Okay, I'm aware!!!  Enough, already!

No, really....I'm okay.  Just feel a bit dizzy and disoriented (but then, what's new, 'eh?).
Here's a quick (non-SU) card made for my 4 y.o. grandson.  Had to hurry this one, because work has seriously put a crimp in my creating time!

Thanks for stopping by!
